Lawyers Professional Liability - IP (Firemark)

A professional liability insurance program for Intellectual Property law firms.

Whether dealing with copyrights, patents, trademarks or trade secrets, we help protect your clients here and abroad.

Unlike most areas of legal practice, intellectual property law leaves attorneys open to potential malpractice claims on a global scale.  Not only can intellectual property law practitioners be sued for their own acts or omissions, they can also face suit for acts performed on their behalf in other countries by other agents or attorneys.  Substantial amounts of money are at stake.

We understand it’s crucial for IP practitioners to be on top of legal developments not only in the U.S. but also internationally.  With extensive experience handling this type of business, we provide tailor-made insurance solutions incorporating the best legal malpractice coverage and features under one policy – keeping the needs and concerns of your clients top-of-mind.

Firemark, part of Amwins Program Underwriters, was formed to provide insureds with the broadest coverage possible for the ever-changing legal profession.  Firemark is distributed through a select group of retail brokers, many of whom have supported the program since foundation.

Specialization matters.  We’re on your team, getting the job done.
