Does the program cover more than just car dealers?

Yes! Our program also offers pollution liability coverage for motorcycle shops, RV dealers, tire dealerships, repair shops, service centers, battery stores and other similar entities subject to landlord or lender requirements.

This program includes on-site cleanup limits of liability. Why is this important?

Often, pollution policies only offer very limited on-site cleanup costs or third-party off-site cleanup coverage, leaving the insured in the dark for contamination of their own premises. This can be very costly, as the auto dealer may have to pay out of pocket for cleanup.

Could an auto dealer be responsible for contamination done by third-party vendors outside of their premises?

Yes, the “cradle-to-grave” stipulation in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) means that a business that generates hazardous material is liable for its correct use and disposal throughout the lifecycle of that material, regardless of whether or not it was disposed of properly. Our program includes 3rd party contingent waste transportation coverage, offering greater financial protection and peace of mind.
