Molly Shah

General Counsel

Molly Shah is General Counsel at Amwins, accepting appointment to the role in 2026 after several years serving as a Deputy General Counsel for the firm.

As General Counsel, Molly works closely with Amwins’ senior leadership team to identify and mitigate legal risks in areas of significant impact to the company, including M&A, employment, compliance and negotiating agreements pertaining to key client relationships. She also plays an integral role on special projects that are key to Amwins’ long-term strategy.

Molly dedicates herself to promoting the advancement of women’s careers and leadership opportunities in the insurance industry. She currently serves on the steering committee for the Amwins Women’s Leadership Program. In addition, she contributes to the insurance industry as a board member of the WSIA Talent Advocacy and Engagement Foundation.

Before joining Amwins, Molly worked in private practice at two large law firms, representing employers in employment litigation and advising them on best practices in the employment realm.  Molly’s passion for employment law extends to issues related to D&I; she trained and advised numerous clients about best practices in this area during her time in private practice, and she has led numerous trainings at Amwins on various D&I and employment-related topics.

Molly received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her law degree from the University of Virginia.
