In the Q3 2026 Economic Overview presented by Amwins and Prestige Economics, we look at how U.S. economic growth remains positive while payrolls have weakened and inflation stays elevated. The conflict with Iran has added upside risk to oil prices and inflation, complicating the outlook for Fed rate policy — the Fed could raise rates later this year if inflation stays elevated, or leave rates unchanged or cut them if the labor market weakens further.
The report also looks at rental vacancies and housing data, as well as spending and cost data.
