  • Authentication – to make sure it’s you
  • Location data – where are you driving
  • Vehicle Data – license plate, vin #, etc.
  • Driver Data – DOT, MC, driver’s names, etc.

Does Amwins share my data with anyone?

Never. Neither Amwins nor TruckerCloud share motor carriers’ data. We never report motor carrier data to the police or share it with anybody the motor carrier hasn’t authorized.

How does a motor carrier authorize data sharing?

By utilizing the Instant Carrier Onboarding Widget, the motor carrier can go through a simple process to install an application or share API credentials. After it's completed, the motor carrier makes the data connection and agrees to share data.

Is it safe for motor carriers to share data?

Yes, TruckerCloud is Service Organization Control Type 2 (SOC 2) certified, which ensures that third-party service providers store and process client data in a secure manner. SOC 2 is a cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Additionally, TruckerCloud runs penetration tests frequently to simulate cyberattacks and evaluate the security of their systems.
