Loss Control
AEU’s Loss Control services are provided by a team of specialists experienced in loss control for waterfront employers and highly trained in USL&H and State Act Workers Compensation exposures. Our specialists provide underwriting inspections and reports to assist in the risk assumption process. Thereafter, they work with members in developing and refining individual loss prevention programs specific to the operations of the members.
Our Loss Control staff works to help members identify and address both actual and potential problems in their operations and, frequently, provides periodic consultations throughout the coverage period in order to help the members avoid or reduce claims.
Our Loss Control specialists serve on safety and health committees of the National Maritime Safety Association, Safety Committee of the Shipbuilder’s Council of America and a maritime advisory committee to OSHA called the 'Marine Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health'.
